Many people start out with low stomach acid production. This can be caused for example by stress, liver congestion, poor bile flow or an H Pylori infection in the stomach. From there SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) occurs. Once the normal bacterial population gets disrupted by SIBO, 78% of affected people go on to develop inflammation of the intestinal lining and LEAKY GUT.
In those people who are genetically predisposed, leaky gut can lead to auto immune conditions such as Hashimotos thyroiditis, Lupus, MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Asthma, Gout, Celiac and many others.
